Keeping the Christmas Spirit Alive

Recapping last night:
As per tradition, my parents and I went to a local Chinese restaurant for dinner. I special ordered steamed veggies which was served with white rice.
I devoured the veggies and ate about 2/3 of the rice. And of course had a fortune cookie.
Hmmmmm…okay then. 😉
I also left an Operation Beautiful note:
After dinner we started to drive around town looking at Christmas lights, but our plans were cut short due to the rain. 😦
Once at the house I wanted to make dough balls but didn’t have flour! 😦
Fear not, my father braved the rain and bought flour for me! 🙂 -Thanks Dad!
With near disaster avoided I made dough balls…
Lots and lots of dough balls…
I made classic chocolate chip, peppermint chocolate chip, and a chocolate chip made with whole wheat flour (recipe coming soon! It came out pretty good!).
All that baking and my 10 miler earlier in the day really wore on me, so I crashed soon after.
This morning I woke up just before 9am.
In the mix:
- 1 container Chobani plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 c. multi-grain oats
- Handful of blackberries
- 8 almonds
- 1 T TJ’s Cranberry Apple Butter
Today we are meeting with our neighbors for a get-together. Then I will be hitting the bookstore looking for this lovely book…
Is there self-hosting in The Singing Runner‘s future? You’ll just have to wait and see. 😉

I am leaning toward wordpress now adays too, thinking of a Book called Head First wordpress. It’s picture heavy and simple yet gives you all the same info. I need simple! 🙂 good luck!

How do you like WordPress? I would love to be able to reply directly to comments, which I cannot do now with Blogger.
I really like WordPress and would recommend it. There IS a difference between wordpress.COM and wordpress.ORG. I have .com right now which is hosted by WordPress. I am looking to move my site to .org so I can self-host. This means I can run ads on my page, have greater flexibility with my layout, and be more creative- but with the same WordPress software. You do have to purchase your domain and then pay a company to host your site, but the domain is YOURS, and you can reach a bigger audience. If you are looking to move from Blogger, I would definitely say purchase a domain and go to WordPress.ORG.
